Salina Christmas

The son of a local Javanese man born and bred in Malacca, Peninsular Malaysia. Inspired by President Sukarno and Indonesia’s success in gaining independence from the Netherlands after World War Two, he joins a paramilitary arm, The Fifth Wing, affiliated with the Communists, to undermine his own country from within during the Konfrontasi. Mislan is unaware of the sophisticated manipulation at the top designed to pit the Malaysians and Indonesians against each other using ideology, nationalism and belief system to keep one person in power.
