KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – The Keeper Of My Kin and A Request For Betrayal were showcased at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2025 as part of the meet-the-author programme by distributor Gerakbudaya.
The book fair, which ran from 23 May to 1 June 2025, attracted over two million visitors, beating its target of 1.9 million for 2025. Salina Christmas had the opportunity to meet her readers at a meet-and-greet session at the Gerakbudaya booth on 24 May 2025.

At the event, the author had the opportunity to meet and chat with her readers. Two of the readers came to the book fair on a moped for the session to beat the traffic jam caused by another event related to the ASEAN Summit. Malaysia is the Chair of ASEAN for 2025, and is hosting several summits, as well as peace talks, in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city.
She also got to speak to another reader, with whom she discussed the Peranakan identity, a common ground for many Malaysians across ethnicities, the evolving social landscape and identity of Malaysians in the years to come.
The paperbacks, part of The Constant Companion Tales series, are available in Malaysia at Eslite Spectrum Starhill, at MPH Bookstores and on Gerakbudaya online bookshop. Outside Malaysia, the books are available on Amazon and at major bookstores worldwide. The e-book series of which the novels are based are available on Amazon Kindle.
